Job Description

BlueWave Solar looking for a marketing and branding professional with experience in managing and organizing marketing activities and overseeing the development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing strategy for a young, dynamic and growing business. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in the solar/clean energy industry.

This role will primarily involve creating and implementing marketing/branding strategies and systems to promote BlueWave’s community solar and solar loan products. Other duties will include developing marketing strategies based on economic/product indicators, identifying the current and future needs of our B2B customers, monitoring competition, and providing marketing collateral, direction and support to all teams including Sales, Operations, Products, Finance, Project Management and External Affairs. The ideal candidate will be creative, dynamic, diligent and detail-oriented, with a positive attitude and passion for helping BlueWave effectively market its mission, vision and services to our customers, partners and the public. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. The Managing Director for Marketing will report to the Chief Executive Officer.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:   

  •  Develops and implements BlueWave’s brand strategy.
  • ·Develops product marketing strategy for the new and existing products.
  • ·Oversees and implements BlueWave’s corporate marketing strategy – including campaigns, events, digital marketing.
  • Collaborates with BlueWave’s Sales team; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing then with appropriate tools, materials and presentations
  • Builds and directly manages the marketing team.
  •  Ensures that the marketing objectives are implemented by the marketing team.
  • Works closely with product management team to define marketing materials and programs.
  •  Manages social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition regarding products.
  •  Undertakes continuous analysis of competitive environment, consumer and installer trends.
  • ·Supports customer service and outreach initiatives by organizing and developing specific customer- relations programs; determining company presence at conventions, annual meetings, trade associations, and seminars.
  •  Influences present and future products by determining and evaluating current and future market trends.


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, communications or related field preferred.
  • High proficiency and professional experience in marketing and market research, branding, social media and communications.
  • Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles.
  • Confident, driven and dynamic leader.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to spot original branding opportunities.
  • ·Excellent presentation and writing skills, ability to deliver marketing content.
